MATERNAL HEALTH SERVICES
Maternal Health services provided include prenatal and postpartum nursing education and nursing care
Pregnancy nutritional education is provided by the WIC (Women, Infant, Child) Nutritionists
All families are assisted with applications for financial aid
Contraceptive education is provided at a quarterly Lamaze Class, held in conjunction with BurgessHealthCenter
Typically 4 nursing education visits are made, one in each of the 3 trimesters of pregnancy, and once when the new baby comes home from the hospital. New mothers-to-be are given the prenatal and postpartum education that is needed to help assure a healthy pregnancy and a healthy newborn baby.
